*在研究論文或技術文件修改直接引用,原因如下:

– 保持寫作的語法意義
寫作的範圍內,釐清引用

– 把引用盡量簡短

– 省略多餘的或分散注意力的詞或短語。

*當修改引用,不改變引用的含義。蓄意改變引用含義可以視為誹謗

– 當修改引用,要說明引用來源

*在直接引用中加入內容可以澄清文件, 當讀者不能看到整個引用的原始上下文。

*在方括號內的引用附上補充[這樣]

*如果在原來的引用有拼寫錯誤及字母遺漏,在方括號內的適當位置添加字母。

*如果在原來的引用的拼寫錯誤是顯而易見的,在方括號內寫出正確的字母或使用[原文]

* “Sic”是一個拉丁詞“thus”或“so” 。此符號表示一個明顯的錯誤已被忠實地從原來的引用轉載。

使用動詞使句子意念表現的更清晰,有些動詞則無法有力闡示一個動作,如 is、are、was、were、has、give、make、come,還有take等都屬此類。
作者應使用強有力的動詞來指明一個清楚的行為。
