– 避免毫無用處的小動作,如搖動你口袋裡的硬幣或來回踱步。

– 不要擋住屏幕。

*控制觀眾的注意力。

– 如果你在演講開始時就發送講稿影本,有些人會開始閱讀,並停止聽你說話。

– 如果在屏幕上有圖像,有些人會一直看著它,而不是聽你的報告。

– 當您希望觀眾看著你,聽你說話,應刪除圖像使屏幕上保持空白。

The Pressure/Vacuum Measurement Laboratory at the Center for Measurement Standards is planning to develop the primary pressure standard (PPS) of the mercury manometer so as to promote and strengthen our laboratory’s pressure measurement capability.

We have heard that your group has much experience in research involving the PPS of the mercury manometer.

Would it be possible for me to serve as a guest worker in your laboratory? If granted such an opportunity, my primary objective would be to study how to design and set up the mercury manometer PPS.

Our institute, the Center for Measurement Standards, a subsidiary of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, has been entrusted with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining national standards and traceability systems. We also provide calibration services, technical consulting, and metrology training to the local industrial sector.

After reviewing your literature, I find that the systems and projects of your laboratory, especially the mercury manometer, are quite compatible with my interests.

A six month period as a guest worker would probably be the most appropriate time frame. If my application is accepted, I can start no earlier than October and end no later than May 2013.

工程計劃目標 A modified FJP method can be developed to ensure not only that the shape is close to Gaussian distribution with a low pressure air source, but also that the resolution of material removal should be small and stable. 達成目標的方法 To do so, slurry can be carried with low air pressure, based on use of siphonic and laminar flow theories. The Gaussian shape can then be achieved by using a nozzle different from the conventional one, in which both air and slurry can pass through simultaneously. Next, fine resolution of material removal can be obtained by optimization of the slurry concentration and air pressure. 希望的結果 As anticipated, the modified FJP method can produce stable material removal less then 50 nm deep by using 1~2 bar air pressure source and the new nozzle. Via the modified FJP method, small optical elements can be fabricated using accurate material removal. 領域的貢獻 Moreover, the enhanced capability of material removal can fabricate precise optical elements, ultimately improving the performance of an optical system.
